SOARING WITH HIM MINISTRIES

AGAPE Shelter Ministry

What is AGAPE?

Agape is an outreach program in partnership with shelters in Metropolitan Atlanta to bring the hope and love of Jesus to the women and children in these transitional homes. We also bring free Bibles and Study Bibles, as well as offer Patricia’s Bible studies for free. The women in the Agape program also receive free admission to our She Soars Conference.

What Is Love Day?

Love Day is a day when we come to our partner organizations with volunteers, teaching and worship to share Jesus’ love through a special event.

In 2023, LOVE DAY will take place quarterly.

We are excited to announce our 2023 partnerships with the incredible House of Cherith, a branch of City of Refuge in Atlanta, and with Family Heritage Foundation!

Our first and second “Love Days” took place at House of Cherith on February 25th and on May 20th at the Family Heritage Foundation on May 20th.

Our next Love Days are scheduled for July 29th at House of Cherith, in early November at Family Heritage (final date to be confirmed).

Agape Shelter Ministry Impact

Our Agape Shelter Program, led by our Shelter Ministry Director, Judy Womack, has been a great success this year, as we have already served two incredible organizations, bringing the Word of God, worship, free bibles and clothing to the women we serve and diapers to their children.

The impact of these two events cannot be fully measured, but our wonderful volunteers can attest to the joy in the faces of the women at House of Cherith and the strong presence of the Holy Spirit as we worshipped together and studied God’s Word.

Or how God showed up in spite of the language barrier, and three people gave their hearts to Christ at Family Heritage Foundation after Patricia gave the invitation.

Or how He answered Idong and Bennet Ekandem’s prayers (Family Heritage) and brought many diapers to the refugee women through the incredible generosity of the First Baptist Atlanta Worship choir members.

Or how the generosity of the women at Kennesaw First Baptist poured out in donated clothing items for both organizations.

Testimonials

Praise for Agape and Love Day

We can't wait to have them back!

Love Day was a huge success for the residents of House of Cherith. The experience they had during the Agape Shelter ministry left smiles on their faces for days. These women got to experience Jesus in action as they heard the Good News and felt the love and pampering from such an amazing ministry. We can’t wait to have them back again!

We are so Thankful!

“During Love Day, 31 ladies and one gentleman were encouraged and blessed with diapers, baby items, and personal gifts. While the women relaxed and shopped (for free), their children were kept busy with fun activities next door. We had a time of worship, then Patricia delivered the message and presented Bibles to those who wanted them. Three people prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, including the only man who attended!

We are so thankful to Patricia, Shelter Ministry Director Judy Womack and the entire SWH team for coming alongside us to bless these families.”

Idong and Dr. Bennett Ekandem, Founders, Family Heritage Foundation
