welcome to

Soaring with Him!

Birds flee from storms. It’s in their DNA. They see the storm clouds forming in the horizon and run for coverage.

But not Eagles.

Eagles look at the storm clouds and charge them. The use their mighty wings to fly in high speed towards the heights, and often charge the stormy clouds because they know it:

There is peace above them.

When they reach the heights, they lock their wings and SOAR.

God designed them to do so.

What if i told you that yahweh designed you the same way?

Listen to my welcome video and let’s connect, grow and serve the Lord together!

Testimonials

Patricia’s Writing & Speaking

“Although I’ve been a passionate follower and student of Jesus for over 35 years, I often find myself in the tension between what I say I believe and how I live. In Twelve Inches, Patricia Holbrook takes us on a journey to bridge that gap with deep faith. Step by step she walks us over the bridge toward a destination of abundant life in Jesus. I’ve finished Patricia’s book with my hands full of the tools I need to live a greater faith!”

Amy Carroll, Proverbs 31 Ministries Speaker & Writer, Author of Breaking Up with Perfect

“Twelve Inches felt less like a book and more like a conversation with a faithful friend. Full of transparency, vulnerability, and faithfulness to the truth of God–this powerful book hit home in so many ways. Patricia’s words comfort and challenge, reveal and refocus, humble and help. This work is a beautiful gift to the body of Christ and I cannot recommend it enough.”

Audra Haney, Writer/Producer for the 700 Club

“I greatly enjoyed this extremely thought-provoking book that leads to the answer of a very important question: How can I develop a deep and meaningful relationship with God, beyond a mere intellectual knowledge of Him? How can I keep on believing when troubles strike and my emotions get on the way of great faith? I believe this book contains the Biblical principles that, if applied, have the power to transform hearts and minds and encourage many to serve Him wholeheartedly. I highly recommend it!”

Eleni Leite, Precept Ministries International / Portuguese Speaking Countries – Director

“Patricia Holbrook’s book Twelve Inches has truly awakened me spiritually and reminded me that being God’s child is about more than going to church and being a good person. Her personal testimonies and candor bring reality to the pages, making her teachings very relevant. I will be sure to stay focused on Jesus in all I do, and in difficult times tell my heart what I know about God: He is my Healer, Deliverer, Constant Friend and Savior. Thank you, Patricia for following the leading of God’s Spirit to write this book. It will be a blessing to all who read it!”

George Saffo, Content Acquisition Manager – iDisciple, LLC

“In Twelve Inches, author Patricia Holbrook offers a poignant collection of essays that are a guide to eliminating the barriers that keep us from that intimate communion with our Lord and Savior. Through her own personal trials and observations of our struggling world, she shares how to rid ourselves of distractions to draw closer to Christ. She urges all of us to look closely how to meld the Twelve Inches that separate our hearts and our minds to live a more spiritual life.  A must-read for any Christian aspiring to strengthen their faith.”

Richard L. Jackson, producer, “90 Minutes in Heaven”, chairman, Family Christian Stores

“Twelve Inches is an eye opening reminder of God’s infinite love for His children. With complete honesty, Patricia has allowed her readers to realize the unfiltered truth behind our disconnection with the Father and all that He desires for us. She has remarkably captured in her own life’s experience the essence of building the “Twelve inch bridge” and a compelling challenge for us to do the same! Beautifully written, it is a book that every Believer should read and share with a lost friend or loved one.”

Rodney Brooks, Minister of Music, First Baptist Church of Atlanta

“Loneliness. Loss. Cancer. Patricia Holbrook has been through enough personal trials to know what it feels like to wonder what God is up to, even sometimes doubting his goodness. Twelve Inches is a book about trusting God, even through life’s darkest trials, on the road to experiencing the truth of God’s immeasurable love regardless of your circumstances.”

Carol Smith, Area Coordinator, Operation Christmas Child

“For every woman who feels defeated, stressed, insecure, or just weary of wanting an abundant life but not finding it, read this book! I was blessed by it, learned from it, and plan to keep a copy in my resource library to read and reference in the future–both personally and for ministry.”

Kimberly Rae, Award-winning author of 20 books

“The distance may be short but the journey can take a lifetime. In Twelve Inches, Patricia bridges the gap between your emotions and what you know about God. This book will help you begin to walk in the spiritual reality and maturity you long for. Patricia shares her own journey in a way that will help you live your life as a vibrant Christian. You’ll discover, twelve inches is all it takes to love the Lord with all your heart and with all your mind.”

Lisa Ryan, Christian TV Host, author, speaker

“Patricia has given us a great tool to help us understand the difference between how we feel and what we know to be true. This is an easy read with real life stories and examples of how God has worked in her life and how He can work in yours.”

Yvonne Conte, Day of Joy Ministries, Fort Myers, FL

“In a knowledgeable and loving manner, Twelve Inches helps us better understand our personal faith in God, while compelling us to build our 12-inch brain-to-heart bridge in order to prevent our emotions from guiding our destiny. It’s an insightful and helpful resource to help us learn that God has so much more for us than what we have experienced.

As Patricia helps us understand how to ‘bridge the gap between how we feel and what we know about God’, we are reminded that God has the power to redo and remake us in a unique way. The society in
which we live needs to hear this. A very important read.”

Mary Gellerstedt, Director, Global Missions – First Baptist Church of Atlanta

“I have known Patricia and Steve for many years. They are the real deal and I am blessed to count them as friends. You owe it to yourself to read the book and to learn from Patricia’s experience with trials, temptation, testing and trusting the Lord. The counsel she provides in this book is biblical and born out of personal experience. Read the book, have her speak for your event, get to know her and get to know Him better!”

2015 has been a great year for Soaring with Him Ministries. Five years ago, when God put in my heart the desire to write about Him, sharing the wonderful journey that is life with Jesus, I never imagined that one simple act of obedience would propel such a miracle-filled journey.

Holding my first published book this past July was a particularly surreal moment for me. The publishing of Twelve Inches was a dream come true; however the journey was challenging, permeated with issues I didn’t expect and, quite frankly, was very frustrated with.

I would like to particularly take a moment to apologize to all of my readers who purchased my book in advance to help with the marketing, only to find out that the release date was postponed. I want to let you know that this was completely out of my control and I am really sorry it happened. I hope and pray that, as you read the book, you looked past the imperfections of men and into the Message that God wrote in my life. He is perfect and His work is perfect, and I have been constantly reminded this year of the following verses:

“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT)

And also,

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Isaiah 55:8 (NLT)

Truthfully, I have so much to be thankful for this year. I would like to share some of the things God has done:

  • Twelve Inches was on the “Hot New Release List” of Amazon for 9 consecutive weeks!
  • The book currently has two Study Groups going on, one in Houston, TX and one in Atlanta, GA. I am pleased to announce that the Twelve Inches Study Guide is now being uploaded for FREE DOWNLOAD on our blog. You can click HERE to download the first five lessons. More lessons will be uploaded every week, as I finish them. We are praying that we will soon have Study Groups all over the country!
  • The readership on our blog has grown expediently this year, from all over the globe! Thank you all for sharing my messages and newspaper columns on your social media walls.
  • I have made many new writer/blogger friends, and I have been able to link our blog to many other popular blogs, thus helping other writers spread their beautiful messages, all the while sharing my messages in other platforms.
  • And my favorite news: God has given us the green light to put together the first Soaring with Him Women’s Conference. The name is SHE SOARS CONFERENCE. Kennesaw First Baptist church has generously agreed to partner with us on this conference that will take place on Saturday, April 29th. More information will be published on the blog really soon!

As we look into the New Year, I would like to share some of our ministry’s prayer and financial needs. We would love for you to pray for us as we follow God’s leading, by faith, into the projects He has put in our hearts for this coming year.

  • Our ministry is done on a fully volunteer basis. None of us get paid to do what we do. As a matter of fact, I have donated all my speaking fees and book sales proceeds to the ministry this year, since we don’t have regular committed donors. We would ask you to pray about becoming our ministry partners for 2016, however God leads you. Any donation is very much appreciated as we have some projects that will cost us quite a bit of money. Remember that Soaring with Him, Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization and therefore all your donations are tax-deductible. Below I would like to list some of our upcoming financial needs:
    • Due to the increase of traffic, as well as the growth of our ministry with the Spanish/Portuguese pages and the upcoming conference, the Board has agreed to invest to turning our blog into a full-version website. Our web designed is currently engaged in re-designing our ministry’s webpage and the new website will be up and running by mid-January. The cost of this redesigning is $650.
    • We are planning the first SHE SOARS CONFERENCE and believe this is the first of many. Our vision is to make this an annual event. We have four speakers and one worship leader that have already committed to the conference for 2016. We certainly would appreciate donations towards the conference costs as well. We are completely walking by faith!
    • You can donate by PAYPAL HERE, or you can mail your donation to: 4514 Chamblee Dunwoody Road #279, Atlanta, GA, 30338.
    • You can also help us by buying copies of TWELVE INCHES for the people on your Christmas List. All proceeds are donated to the ministry. For special Christmas pricing, click HERE: Twelve Inches for Christmas.
  • Prayer needs: We would appreciate your prayers for the following needs:
    • Health: I had another cancer scare in November, as my yearly abdominal CT Scan lit up in the area where I had kidney cancer before. Although I sincerely believe that I am cancer free, I will only be able to confirm it in April. I would appreciate your prayers.
    • Ministry Team: Please lift each of my friends in prayer, as they unselfishly support me in the ministry: My husband Steve (Board), Terri Potter (Board and administration), Bettina Rann (marketing and Spanish translator), Lilly Vale (social media), Adriana Valgas and Joao Guilherme (Portuguese translators), Christy Birdwell (helped with the launch of Twelve Inches).
    • Ministry outreach: That God would open more doors for us to minister.
    • Missions: My family and I are planning a trip to Brazil in May/June, and I am contacting churches in the area to do missions as we visit my family.

Lastly, you need to know… I thank God for you! Thank you for encouraging me in this (often lonely) journey. Your support means a lot!

May God bring you great Joy this Christmas and May 2016 be a year of good health, success (God’s way), and spiritual growth for you. May Jesus be your all… through the dark days and the bright ones. May your heart sing for Joy simply because you are HIS. And because He is enough.

In His Wonderful Love,
